Introduction
I’m an independent designer based in the UK, specialising in logo design, custom typography and visual identity. I create distinctive brand systems that combine personality with the versatility and scalability needed to work across real-world applications.
I’ve been working in design for around a decade, including experience as part of a communications and marketing team. That background shapes the way I approach branding today. I think beyond how something looks, considering how an identity communicates, where it will be used and how consistently it can be applied.
My work tends to be bold and recognisable, but never at the expense of clarity. Whether I’m creating a logo, custom type or a broader identity system, the aim is to produce something distinctive, readable and built to last.
Kao is my new independent venture, giving me the opportunity to build a fresh portfolio around the kind of work I want to do more of, particularly logo design, typography and fashion-led identity.
PROCESS
Every project starts with understanding the brand and researching the space around it.
For logo and identity projects, I explore ideas through sketching before developing and presenting the strongest directions. From there, the chosen concept is refined and developed into a finished identity.
For more complex custom typography and mascot work, I typically concentrate on one strong direction and develop it in greater depth through refinement.
